Verify a Vin2 ID

Every vehicle gets one universal token — minted in front of any VIN, classic or modern. Resolve a VIN below to see its deterministic Vin2 ID and DID: the stable handle a signed provenance certificate binds to, so it stays attached to the car.

How verification works →

Integrity — is a certificate committed to the anchored ledger?
Verify a credential — paste a Vin2 Verifiable Credential

It's a standard W3C Verifiable Credential — any compliant verifier can check it offline, not just Vin2.

What full verification will check
  • Identity resolution — VIN → deterministic Vin2 ID + DID. (live now)
  • Signature — Ed25519, verified in-browser against the published issuer key. (live above)
  • Integrity — Merkle proof against the anchored root. (live above — demo ledger)
  • Status — not revoked, via a W3C Bitstring Status List. (live)
