Why is the VIN decode free?
The decode proves our value before you pay a cent — and it powers the search pages people find us through. We charge for the work that protects a purchase: the condition scan, the cross-check, and the signed certificate.
Does a Full Check replace a pre-purchase inspection?
No — it's advisory. It catches what's verifiable from the VIN, tags and photos (clones, missing options, condition spin, claim mismatches) instantly, for a fraction of a PPI. On a six-figure car, still confirm flagged items in person or with a hands-on inspection.
Do package credits expire?

What makes a certificate “verifiable”?
Each certificate is signed with our issuer key and carries an integrity hash over its exact contents. Anyone can re-check it at vin2.com/verify — change one field or photo and the signature breaks.
